  • Our workouts are inclusive and progressive across mixed levels

  • Before and after every class, we ask you to clean your reformer/equipment with the disinfectant wipes provided  Hand sanitisers are also available

  • We suggest zip free, comfortable and stretchy clothes – so that you can enjoy the freedom to move in your comfiest gear.

  • We will not require you to wear a face mask unless otherwise advised by the government. However, if you feel more comfortable with a covering and/or gloves, you are welcome to bring your own and wear during class. Please arrive ready to move in your leisure/sports gear to keep the common areas safe and clear

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY FIRST PILATES CLASS?

The first class can be as much a mental workout as a physical one. However no one expects you to be perfect straight away so don’t panic – the instructor leading the class will make sure you’re exercising safely and at the correct level, so long as you are still breathing that’s a good enough start for the first few weeks. Don’t worry if you cannot seem to co-ordinate everything straight off. As with learning any new skill it takes time and practise. Pilates is non-competitive so you will work at your own level during each class. We’ll progress your exercises gradually and encourage you to move up to more intermediate exercises/progressions when you are ready.

It can take 6-8weeks to build muscle, and much longer if you’ve had pain or weakness in an area for a long time so whilst we can’t expect an overnight body transformation, you will notice the difference if you continue to come to class each week. You will feel; an increase in flexibility, reduced back pain, improved balance, improved muscle tone and strength, better posture and improved confidence to exercise as just a few of the benefits of our classes.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Other than yourself, not much. We suggest you wear comfortable clothes such as comfortable leisure wear; a t-shirt with long shorts, bike shorts, leggings or joggers. We don’t wear shoes in Pilates so you must be in socks, we advise grip-socks . Mobile phones must be turned off. No cameras, or videos are permitted.
